Seneca Trail Christian Academy believes that an athletic program supports and complements the entire education process. This process concerns the complete person and includes their growth as an individual – spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
Athletics provide eligible students with opportunities to use their God-given talents and abilities in a team sport. A Christ-centered attitude and behavior is expected of all players, coaches, parents, and fans at all times.
The goals of the athletic program at STCA are to provide:
a positive learning experience
a positive base for Christian development
an understanding of competition, emphasizing sportsmanship, sacrifice, teamwork, and skill development
knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts of the sport
The Girls Volleyball season runs from the beginning of September through the end of October, culminating in the WVCEA State Volleyball tournament. We focus on skill and sportsmanship and work to ensure that girls are having a positive experience, regardless of their skill level.
The STCA Trailblazers basketball season begins in late October and runs through late February. We offer Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity teams. Athletes receive excellent instruction from our committed coaching staff, with an emphasis on honoring Christ on and off the court. To culminate the season, STCA participates in the WVCEA State Basketball tournament.
